The Nepalese Sherpa Children Assistance Association (SCAA) works to enable the poorest children to complete their schooling. SCAA called upon Electriciens sans frontières to supply electricity to the 135 houses in the village and, first of all, the school with 470 pupils and its playground.

The response

Electriciens sans frontières implemented the building’s power supply, the interior electrical installations, the outside and indoor lighting outside, thanks to the installation of a mini hydroelectric plant.

The impact

By the electrification of the school of Khastap, the project makes it possible to improve the pupils’ teaching conditions and the work of the teachers.
