Since the start of the conflict in Ukraine in February 2022, access to electricity has remained an essential condition for the continuity of vital services. Electriciens sans fronti\u00e8res, a French NGO that has been mobilized since the first weeks of the Russian invasion, has intensified its actions in support of local populations and institutions, with one objective: to maintain essential services in a context of armed conflict. <\/em>[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text css=””]Since August 2023<\/strong>, with the support of the Crisis and Support Center of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs<\/strong>, the NGO has installed nearly 100 solar hybrid solutions<\/strong> in 10 different oblasts<\/strong>. These systems now power schools, health centers and pumping stations<\/strong>, critical infrastructures highly exposed to power cuts caused by incessant shelling.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

In schools, for example, pupils can continue to study; in health centers, emergency care can be maintained.[\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Answering calls from municipalities in the Eastern and Southern Oblasts” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left” css=””][vc_column_text css=””]Faced with unstable access to electricity and water in the eastern and southern regions of Ukraine, regularly targeted by Russian attacks, local municipalities are calling for concrete, sustainable support. In response to these urgent requests, Electriciens sans fronti\u00e8res intends to deploy more than 15 additional hybrid solutions,<\/strong> to cover the needs of almost 100,000 people.<\/strong><\/p>\n
