The violent earthquake and tsunami that struck Indonesia on 28th September 2018 left more than 2,000 dead, as well as thousands of people injured and missing. Electriciens sans frontières' volunteers intervened to help those displaced by the tsunami.

On the island of Dominica, the project aims to allow 6 health centers to function normally in the event of natural disasters. In December 2018, our teams supervised the installation of autonomous solar power plants on the roofs of health centers.

Electriciens sans frontières was asked by the Red Cross to analyse the supply and consumption of electricity from its first-aid storage centre in Mandaue. The need is, on the one hand, to reduce the billing by the local public supplier of electricity consumption of the site and, on the other hand, to secure its electricity supply.
