Solidarity Energy Week 2026: An anniversary edition driven by the commitment of our regions!

From September 28 to October 11, more than 30 events marked Solidarity Energy Week. This year’s edition was a special one, celebrating the 40th anniversary of Electricians Without Borders.

A COLLECTIVE EFFORT TO RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT ISSUES RELATED TO ACCESS TO ENERGY AND WATER

Conferences, workshops, exhibitions, screenings, educational activities… Across France, the regional chapters and volunteers of Electriciens sans frontières have come together to raise awareness about the challenges of access to energy and water around the world.

Together with our partners, they have devised a variety of formats to reach different audiences, foster dialogue, and raise awareness about inequalities in access to essential services. These are all opportunities to remind people that energy and water are essential to human development and that ensuring access to them for everyone is a major issue of international solidarity.

This year, this campaign has taken on special significance, as 2026 marks the 40th anniversary ofElectriciens sans frontières. Since 1986, our NGO has been fighting against inequalities in access to energy around the world, thanks to the dedication of its volunteers and the support of its partners.

EVENTS IN THE REGION

Local initiatives have demonstrated the diverse forms that mobilization can take: awareness-raising activities at festivals or in schools, presentations by the NGO to employees of partner companies, photo exhibitions, and more. Beyond the variety of formats, these events share a common goal: to give everyone the tools to better understand the challenges of access to energy and water, and to show how collective action can help bring about change.

40 YEARS OF SOLIDARITY IN ENERGY: THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO STANDS WITH US!

This year’s event once again highlighted just how much the work of Electricians Without Borders relies on a collective effort. For 40 years, the technical expertise, dedication, and commitment of our volunteers—combined with the support of our partners—have enabled us to carry out projects that benefit the communities that need them most.

Both within the organization and in the field, our partners help raise awareness of our missions, spread our messages, and engage new audiences.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this 2026 Solidarity Energy Week a success—and especially to our volunteers and partners! With each edition, Your commitment brings our values to life and gives this collective effort its full strength.
